Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019

what the sale is all about

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 is officially here! I wasn’t going to cover the sale this year because I feel like it’s a bit over done, BUT I did shop in store a little bit so I figured it couldn’t hurt to share what I got, as well as share the items that I think are worth purchasing.

In case you're not familiar with the sale, typically all new fall items are released at majorly discounted prices. Once the sale is over, the items go back up to regular price. One thing I noticed this year is that the clothing items are a lot of repeat items from last year, which is kind of lame. But nonetheless, a lot of the items will sell out and there is no guarantee they will be restocked, so if you see something you love, don’t miss your chance!

Right now is the early access period, which means you need to be a Nordstrom cardholder to shop the sale. The sale will be open to the public on July 19th and will run through August 4th. Here’s my top picks for this year, starting with baby items!!

baby

I went into the store to look at the nuna mixx stroller and the nuna pipa lite lx infant carseat, and ended up coming home with both! Every year, nuna comes out with an exclusive collection for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, how cool?!

This year, it is the threaded collection and it’s beautiful. Besides the fact that it’s aesthetically pleasing (especially the leather handle!), it’s also super functional, easy to use, and high quality. I love that the stroller storage underneath has a zipper cover, and I love the dream drape feature on the carseat because it’s basically a built in carseat cover!

They had a handful of cute baby clothing items on sale, and I ended up purchasing this sweet little north face because I knowww I’m going to want her to have one this winter, so might as well get it while it’s on sale!

clothes & shoes

When it comes to clothes, it’s so hard for me right now because of the bump, especially to be planning ahead for fall. I’m due October 2, so it’ll still be a tad on the warmer side here, and who knows what will happen with my body post baby.

So, if I wasn’t pregnant, my game plan would be to grab a pair of designer denim (I usually go for AG), a pair of leggings and/or joggers, a cozy cardigan, and sneakers or booties depending on the options and my needs. The denim options this year are pretty good, as well as the shoe options. The cozy lounge items are up to par and the Spanx faux leather leggings will sell out super quick. There isn’t a ton of Free People (like at all) which is normally what I go for so that makes me feel a bit better lol.

beauty

The beauty exclusives part of the sale used to be my favorite, until I became informed and decided to clean up my beauty routine by incorporating more nontoxic products. Either way, the T3 curling iron that is on sale is a great buy if you’re in need of one! I still love living proof hair care products, and this kopari travel set is full of great products with clean ingredients. I also have my eye on this silk pillow case (I say this every year + need to just pull the trigger already)!

home

The home section has some great deals on cozy blankets! I’ve been dying for a barefoot dreams blanket & might finally be able to convince rob it’s worth the splurge since it now comes in a camo print!

That’s all I got for you girls today! Whether you can shop early access or have to wait until the sale goes public, my best advice is to make a list of basic items you need and set a realistic budget for yourself! Don’t go crazy and over extended yourself just because of all the hype & the fact that you see a ton of bloggers coming home with literally everything! It’s their job to share a ton that way you can pick and choose based on their recommendations! Happy shopping xoxo!
