How to Style Overalls

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day weekend! We took my mom to breakfast Sunday morning and then Sunday night Rob made such a good dinnnner 😋 

Today I'm sharing an easy way to style overalls this summer. I honestly thought I would never have a pair of overalls in my closet, but I just couldn't resist! I love that this pair is shorts & a light wash. They are also a great price ($78) and go on and off sale pretty often! They fit true to size - I'm wearing a small for reference. 

I paired these overalls with a basic tee (on sale for $15) and white sneaks for a classic look. I am wearing a medium in the tee. It's super soft and comes in so many color options. My slip ons are the BEST pair I've ever owned. I recommend going down a half size. They stretch out just enough over time and did not give me one blister!

This outfit is such a perfect weekend outfit in my book. I feel like a cross body bag also makes it because it's easy and handsfree. These overalls would also look cute with an off the shoulder top. Style tip: make sure you wear a more fitted shirt so you can tuck it in easily. If it's too oversized, it will blouse out too much and won't look right.

Embroidered Top + White Denim

It's Friday eveeee! Who else always gets excited for the weekend?! Rob & I are probably going to spend Saturday looking at floor choices for the house and then on Sunday we are going to nascar LOL. I went with him last year and it wasn't as bad as I thought. it's a long day but as long as I have a drink in my hand I should make it through 😝

Today's look is a spring time favorite. White denim is a must and this particular pair is the best I've owned yet. I love the stretch & that they are high rise. The material is thick so you can't see through them. They fit true to size & will last a couple season because they are so well made!

I love pairing white denim with a fun top. This embroidered top is so so pretty. I love the detail and the tassels on the sleeves! It comes in 4 colors (I'm wearing the red but it looks more like coral to me!). It's under $50 and I'm wearing a medium for reference.

My Vince slip on sneakers are probably my most worn shoe so far this spring. They are SO SO comfy and wear in just right. Even though they are a splurge, I HIGLY recommend them because they did NOT give me one blister! Any other slip on I've worn in the past has given me blisters - not this pair 🙌🏻 save up your Nordstrom notes so you can get them that way if you'll feel guilty about spending the money on them all at once.

Boho Top with Lace Detail

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Yesterday on my Instagram I shared how I like to spend my Sunday's with a little r&r that starts with a sheet mask + hot bath and ends with using my rose quartz roller for a mini at-home-facial! I have a lot of great beauty content planned so stay tuned because you all know it's my fave (and from what I can tell, you girls love it too)!

Now about today's look! This pretty little top is currently on sale for under $90 (original price $128). Make sure you snag it while it's marked down because it WILL go back to regular price soon! I love that it's flowy and lightweight because it makes the long sleeves bearable on warm days. The lace detail is so gorgeous - even prettier in person - and the tassels give a boho feel. Just an FYI it is a bit sheer which I typically don't mind, but I know some people may. It fits true to size - I am wearing a small. 

I paired this top with my go to pair of distressed denim. They have a boyfriend fit and are low rise. I ordered my normal size and they are perfect. I also love that they come in different lengths because you know I need the short! This retailer is currently having buy one, get one half off denim so take advantage of that. My wedges are another favorite that come in a ton of color options and are a dupe for the Chloé espadrille wedges! They're just under $150 and you honestly can't beat it for how comfy and well made they are!

Striped Linen Dress for Spring

Hi babes! Happy Wednesday! I haven't taken outfit pics for the blog in soo long. If you read my life update post, you know that not only are Rob & I planning a wedding, but we are also in the process of buying a house! Needless to say, things have been crazy! I have a follow up post to my life update coming soon. I keep going back in to edit it because I want it to flow, but I hope to have it up within the next week! Sometimes when I sit down to write, I have an theme in mind and then as I write I end up talking about something totally different. Does that happen to anyone else? Since I don't want it to be a super long, all over the place novel, I need to proof read it again and make sure everything makes sense!

Now for outfit details! This cute little dress of course sold out before I got the chance to post it 🤦🏻‍♀️ BUT it's now back in stock in select sizes and I'm sure it will go QUICK. In case it sells out again, I found a few similar striped linen dresses that are all under $100 so the options are pretty good! There's just something about a linen dress that is so easy and summery. The button details on the back of this one are especially cute! I love the way it looks with simple white slip on sneakers. It gives such a cool, casual vibe that I'm all about right now! For reference, I'm wearing a size small and it fits perfect!

Floral Dress for Easter

Easter will be here before we know it! I really can't believe we're more than half way through March already! Last week, I styled white denim for Easter, as per Insta story poll results. This week, I'm styling this gorgeous floral print dress that is perfect for any spring & summer occasion!

I fell in love with this dress when I saw it online, and it's even better in person. The fabric is silky soft and such great quality (it is lined). The floral print is dainty and the color combination is just so pretty. The detail on the sleeves makes it different than anything I've seen. If you've been following for a while, you know off the shoulder is my jam. I do recommend sizing down. I originally ordered a small and it was way too big. I exchanged it for an xs and it couldn't be better. I do think I could get it hemmed a tad since I'm on the shorter side, but nonetheless this dress is still a winner!

These wedges are easily the best pair of wedges I've ever owned. They are great quality, super comfortable, and match everything. They come in a ton of color options as well! How to Style White Denim for Easter

With Easter right around the corner, I did a poll on Insta stories to see if you babes wanted to see me style a dress or white denim. The votes were literally 50/50 so I'm styling both!

For today, I styled this pair of white denim. I have to start by saying I am beyond impressed! I have never loved a pair of white denim so much! The fit is AMAZING (true to size). The fabric is thick aka not see through. They stretch as you move and they are part of the Citizens of Humanity Sculpt line which means they make your legs look soo good. This particular pair is cropped and I still needed to cuff them a tad with my wedges, but if I were to wear them with sandals they would be just right. I haven't necessarily been splurging on denim like I used to, but this pair is absolutely worth the price (still under $200) because white denim is one thing you shouldn't skimp on! 

One of my favorite color combos for spring & summer is light blue and white. I found this under $50 off the shoulder chambray top and knew it would be perfect with white denim. I love the little ties on the sleeves; they are such a cute detail! I am wearing a size medium because I was worried about the length being too short, but it's just right! 

To elevate this look & make it Easter appropriate, I paired it with my fave wedges & a straw bag! These wedges fit true to size, come in so many color options, and are BEYOND comfortable. My straw bag was a sale find & keeps going in and out of stock. If it sells out, no worries! There are so many other great options out there right now because they are trending; I rounded up some of favorites in this post about spring must haves!

We're still in the transitional weather stage here in NJ. I mean, we just had so.much.snow. last week, needless to say it's still a bit cold in my neck of the woods. This open back sweater from Gentle Fawn is great for the spring transition because it's lightweight and provides some air flow, but still keeps you comfortable when it's chilly! I love the texture of this sweater and that the sleeves have a little flare. The quality is amazing & it comes in two color options. I'm wearing an xs but it fits like a small so I do recommend sizing down if you don't want it too oversized. 

My denim is by Madewell and I LOVE it for spring & summer! The high waist sucks you in and the fit is super flattering. I am wearing a 27 (usually a true 26) so I do recommend sizing up since it doesn't have much stretch. I also typically need to size up in high waisted denim anyway because it seems that no stretch, high waisted only fits TTS if your tall and have no ass, which I'm opposite of that so 🤷🏻‍♀️ here we are with that haha.

Chloé Marcie Medium Leather Crossbody Bag Review

This past Christmas, Rob gifted me the Chloé Marcie Medium Leather Crossbody Bag. Talk about best fiancé ever! I had been eyeing this bag for so long & I couldn't have been more grateful to receive it as a gift! Not only is it gorgeous, it's also practical. If you've been eyeing this bag too, you need to get it, and here's why!

SIZE

First, let's talk size. For a crossbody bag, this bag is huge. It's SO roomy which is one thing I look for in a crossbody bag. I can fit my LV wristlet, keys, phone, lip balm, phone charger, MacBook charger, sunnies, and any other random stuff I may be bringing back and forth between home and work. 

It has two pockets. When you open the flap, there is a pocket on the outside. Then, there is another pocket on the inside of the bag. I love the outside pocket because it provides easy access to my phone (I have the iPhone 7 plus and it fits in that pocket perfectly). The inside pocket is great for lip balm and easy access to my debit card or cash if I'm out and about running errands. 

The mini Marcie is totally trending and I think it's adorable; however, I don't know how practical it is. After all, spending money on a designer bag is an investment and I personally want to be sure that the bag I am buying is practical! 

QUALITY

The quality of this bag is unlike any other I own. The leather is SO soft and the bag is just gorgeous. I am impressed with how well made it is. Compared to my LV Never Full, this bag is a softer, pebbled leather. The stitching is a beautiful detail and the lining is also nice. I love the gold hardware & that the strap is adjustable.

The color I chose is cashmere grey. My wardrobe is pretty neutral, so it goes with everything. The abstract white and blush nude were close second choices, but ultimately the grey won. The Marcie satchel also comes in the lighter colors, so that might be next on my list 🙃
